In the fall of 2007 an idea to put together a new band was born. After many musical experiments the path led to metal.

Then Wesleyer parted ways with Pain Confessor.

First to join the outfit with DC and Wesleyer was Jani. Then DC's old acquaintance from previous bands, Samppa, joined to play the bass. After several drummer candidates Jontte proved to be the perfect choice.

The spring of 2009 turned out to be a busy and profilic time for the band.

First live show was performed June 27 2009 at Tuska festival after party in Virgin Oil Co.

"Once With Hate" demo was recorded at Rockstar Productions studios in August 2009.

In September 2009 Anger Cell joined Metallia Perkele! Tour 2009 with Grendel, Kiana and Ghoul Patrol.

At the end of 2009 the band started to write new material for the next promotional recording.

"Haven For The Forsaken" EP was recorded February 2010 - June 2010 at Rockstar Productions.

In September 2010 Anger Cell participated on the Metallia Perkele! Tour 2010 with Grendel, Ghoul Patrol, Kiana and Bill Skins Fifth.

In September 2011 Anger Cell entered Rockstar Productions studios in Hyvinkää (FI) to start the recordings of their forthcoming debut album.

Debut album titled "A Fear Formidable" was recorded September 2011 - July 2012 at Rockstar Productions and released in Finland on October 3rd 2012 and October 26th internationally via Inverse Records.

In march 2015 Anger Cell parted ways with vocalist DC.

Anger Cell joins forces with vocalist Maija in February 2016.
